ParseProGo is a desktop-application for creating and editing PHP-files with integrated preview. It works on all Intel-based Apple-Computers and requires, of course, PHP - whether the Macintosh built-in or, more recommendable, a web-server. ParseProGo was written and is distributed by www.mentalmove.com. (A little smaller) versions for other Operating Systems can be found here.

View

Preview Intern  [Command + alt + I] Shows the parsed result of the visible document in the intern preview-field. Since the parsing is done by the server based on a saved version of your document, you will be asked to save first if there are unsaved changes (if you don't save, you will see an older version). Preview Intern has all capabilities of the AppleWebKit (including the PlugIns you installed for Safari) but will not open additional windows.

Preview Extern  [Command + alt + E] Shows the parsed result of the visible document in your default-browser. The content of the left window is not parsed directly; if there are unsaved changes, you will be asked to save them first. To see your document in a browser other than your default browser, there are two possibilities: 1) Make this browser to your default browser. You can set that back later OR 2) Open the document in your default browser, copy the url of the site (starting off with http://127.0.0.1 or http://localhost , and lead the other browser to this url. (The second method is more recommendable.)

Show Sticky  Opens a sticky as a sort of visible clipboard in which you can temporarily store something. You can open up to 3 stickies; a sticky will remember its content when you close it manually, but forget everything after quitting ParseProGo. (There will be no explicit warning: you've been warned now.) Stickies have no special function; see it as an additional service.

Rich Text:  [On or Off] available since version 1.01 When enabled, you are allowed to paste text in RichTextFormat from the clipboard. Does not seem to be useful in most cases.

LineNumbers:  [On or Off] available since version 1.1 Well, I don't like line numbers, but you probably might find them useful (e.g. if you get a message of your server). When enabled, the line where the cursor is located inside the visible document is shown above the Sticky Button.

Help

ParseProGo Help  [Command + ?] Opens this description in the right window. To keep it up-to-date, it is placed in the internet - that means that an internet-connection is required to read it. If you sometimes work without internet-connection, select, copy and save it on your hard disk. Don't forget to look from times to times if there are changes.

Examples  [Command + ctrl + Shift + E] Some examples for you to play with (requires internet-connection). You can modify them (if no other indications are shown). The list is growing. If you have own short but interesting examples you would like to publish inside the examples (for the benefit of other users), contact feedback@mentalmove.com

Updates...  [Command + alt + U] Connects the application with a website wich prooves if there are newer versions (and eventually relates an update). No Data except the version-number is read; nothing will be saved.
