When information is sent via Internet (URL-Encoding), everything is even worse. This method is often used - most search engines demand requests appended to the address, Flash-Applets receive text (as a parameter) via www (although the way should be short inside a site).
According to an unique standard, characters are decoded irrespective of languages; this is clever but difficult for human beings. The above sentence (decoded):

Other functions of Character exChange are side effects of the above but hopefully useful, too:

(x)html ignores formatting. Character exChange detects tabulators, wordwraps und white spaces.
If a developer is kind enough to publish JavaScript-Code, all executable characters must be changed.
Published Code is often written with line-numbers. Before parsing, they must be deleted..
