The application's name in the menu is a property of Apple; the Menu-Items described in the following can be found in the Java-Version on other places. When the Java-Version is running on a Mac, the Computer events something for About CharacterExChange.
3.1.1 About CharacterExChange*
Version, author, basic language, and date.
3.1.2 Preferences...* [ Command + , ]
Clicking NOW!, the application connects itself with a website wich prooves if there are newer versions (and eventually relates an update). No Data except the version-number is read; nothing will be saved.
3.1.3 Hide CharacterExChange* [ Command + H ]
Makes the application invisible without closing. No Data will be lost.
3.1.4 Quit CharacterExChange* [ Command + Q ]
Closes the application and clears all Data. If there is text in the right text-field, the question Do you want to save? appears. No lets the application quit immedeately, Yes activates File -> Save. If you are in doubt, click Yes and then Cancel.
