Not the same as the Undo - function of the Operating System!
Sets the right text field back to the last working version (ignores changes in the left text field and single typings). While getting familiar with the application, try a little with Undo. The Undo - function was created to revert to versions, but it can be used to destroy them, too.
These functions are disabled in the menu but can be reached using accesskeys. The mode of working is defined in the Operating System. Character exChange works together with all applications supporting these functions. 'Paste' can be used with text elements only.
If you are not familiar with these functions, here's a short description:
Cut clears selected text (in Character exChange or another application) and puts it into the clipboard.
Copy copies seleted text into the clipboard without clearing it.
Paste puts text from the clipboard to the place where the cursor is situated (in Character exChange or another application). If text is selected, it will be replaced with the one from the clipboard.
Clear clears selected text.
Select All selects all text in the window where the cursor is placed.
